• Unit Orientation: 1 week

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact license preferred for travel RNs)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year recent Interventional Radiology (IR) nursing experience
• Neuro IR experience required (neuro-interventional radiology, stroke/aneurysm cases)
• Must pass ECG exam and competently read/interpret strips and lethal rhythms
• Strong IV therapy skills and critical care nursing competencies
• EPIC EMR experience preferred (documentation in EPIC)
• Able to participate in on-call rotation with a 1-hour response time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality peri-procedural nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and neuro-IR procedures.
• Monitor and interpret ECG strips; recognize and respond to lethal rhythms promptly.
• Initiate and manage IV access, administer medications, and provide advanced hemodynamic support as indicated.
• Collaborate closely with interventional radiologists, technologists, anesthesiology, and multidisciplinary teams in the IR suite.
• Document all patient care and procedure notes accurately in EPIC EMR.
• Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and facility protocols in the IR lab.
• Complete unit orientation and maintain ongoing competency and certifications.
