Registered Respiratory Therapist NICU Experience Required
Location: Fredericksburg, VA (Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center)
Job Type: Contract (3-12 hour shifts per week, including every other weekend)

This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of two years general RT experience and NICU expertise. The role involves working with cutting-edge life support equipment such as Hamilton C1, V60, and Hamilton MR1 ventilators within a well-established 140-bed medical center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care for adult and neonatal intensive care patients, with a focus on NICU patients requiring advanced respiratory support
• Utilize and manage ventilation equipment including CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and Bubble CPAP
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams ensuring excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain thorough documentation within the Meditech system
• Adhere to hospital and unit-specific policies while wearing the designated all-black scrubs

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum of 2 years general respiratory therapy experience
• Proven NICU experience with a skill level of at least 3 in NICU care
• Familiarity with advanced respiratory equipment and procedures in the neonatal setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred or obtainable after hire
