Active Registered Respiratory Tech (RRT) license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience is sought for a contract opportunity in King George, VA. This role focuses on delivering advanced respiratory care in a 140-bed hospital setting, specifically within a respiratory unit equipped with cutting-edge technology such as Hamilton C1 and V60 ventilators. Candidates must have at least 3 months of NICU experience alongside proficiency in CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and Bubble CPAP management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, with a special emphasis on NICU cases
• Operate and manage equipment including Hamilton C1, V60, and Hamilton MR1 ventilators
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress and implement respiratory therapy plans
• Accurately document treatments and patient responses using the Meditech documentation system
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and respiratory protocols to ensure patient safety and quality care

Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum two years of general respiratory therapy experience, with at least 3 months in NICU
• Competency in advanced respiratory procedures including CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and Bubble CPAP
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred or willing to obtain post-hire
• Ability to wear all-black scrubs as part of the dress code

Schedule and Environment:

• Work schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend
