• Location: Henrico, Virginia (Zip: 23229) – Richmond area healthcare jobs
• Setting: Surgical Services – 13 General OR Suites, 5 GYN/General Plastics/ENT OR Suites
• Employment Type: Travel Operating Room Technician
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 8/25/2025 – End: 11/24/2025)
• Shift: 10-hour days (07:00–17:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,870 - $1,920

Operating Room Tech Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent experience as an OR Tech or Surgical Technologist
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) certification required
• Experience in RN, Scrub, and Assist roles preferred; candidates with RN and Scrub experience will be considered
• Ability to take call in General OR, GYN, and First Assist areas as needed
• Must reside within a 30-minute response time to the hospital OR
• Strong teamwork, positive attitude, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across specialties: trauma, cardiac, neuro, ortho, general, vascular, kidney transplant, GYN, pediatrics, neonates, ENT, plastics, and oncology
• Perform scrub and assist duties in both General and GYN OR suites
• Accurately document procedures and patient information using Meditech OR Module
• Participate in call rotations and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to the navy scrub dress code
