Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Catering Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production and presentation while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in menu planning, staff training, and overseeing daily kitchen activities. Must be able to drive as needed to make catering orders as needed.

Duties

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
• Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
• Participate in menu development, including creating new dishes that align with seasonal offerings.
• Oversee banquet preparations and execution, ensuring timely service during events.
• Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management protocols.
• Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary requirements for guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in other culinary roles within food service management.
• Must have experience in Catering and managing Banquets
• Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and training.
• In-depth knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen management best practices.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
