SAIC is seeking a Back End Full Stack Software Developer, in Chantilly, VA to work closely with customer Program Managers and a small team of software developers to accelerate system and application development. The successful candidate works side-by-side with the other team members comprised of world class Machine Learning Engineers, Software Developers, System Admins, and Multimedia Specialists to lead the customer in developing new technical solutions.

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Work within the team to develop new and to enhance existing systems and applications
• Produce effective and elegant code based algorithms
• Test and deploy programs and applications
• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software
• Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance
• Proactively seek opportunities to use process improvement and re-engineering methodologies to facilitate improvements to team processes

Qualifications

Required:

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree ( Or equivalent) and (14) years or more of related experience. Masters and (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and (9) years or more experience.
• Technical degree
• 5 years additional experience as a software developer in lieu of degree
• 5 years of relevant experience as a software developer
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Python experience
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Django experience
• Experience with RESTful API architecture
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS platform
• Experience with Container technologies: Docker, ECR, ECS, EKS
• Analytic thinker who works well in a team environment
• Desired
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience incorporating machine learning modules into web applications
• Good project management skills
• Experience with REACT web applications
• Experience with unit testing
• Experience integrating mock-ups and prototyping wireframes
• Knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch
