Afternoon Floating Assistant
Summary We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children to join our Early Childhood Education Team as a Floating Assistant Teacher. The ideal candidate loves to play, is flexible, and can seamlessly assist with any age group. They will ensure the safety and well-being of the children and strictly adhere to Virginia State Licensing regulations. - Create a welcoming environment : Foster a warm and inviting atmosphere for children, parents, and the community.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment : Ensure that all spaces are tidy, secure, and conducive to learning and play.
- Teamwork : Collaborate effectively with colleagues to provide the best care for children.
- Parent partnership : Establish and maintain open, effective communication with parents.
- Feedback : Provide and accept honest, constructive feedback in a manner that is caring and supportive.
- Caring and Empathetic Conduct : Interact with children, parents, and colleagues with empathy and respect.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training to maintain and enhance professionalism.
- Flexibility and willingness to support all classrooms and work with all age groups as needed.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively
- At least 6 months of experience in a licensed child care facility, but we will train the right person.
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or completion of child development courses is preferred but not required
