Oncology Outpatient Clinic Nurse - Hematology Oncology

City/State Charlottesville, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Oncology and Hematology Clinic at the Phillips Cancer Center . This is a full time, Day shift position in Charlottesville, VA. Hours : Four 9-hour shifts, 8AM to 5PM between Monday to Friday with rotating days off. No nights or weekends. Sign on bonus of $10,000 available for qualified candidates. The Oncology Clinic RN will assist six physicians and three advanced practice providers within the physician's clinic group at the Cancer Center with rooming patients, vital signs, IV placement, port access, and phlebotomy. This position will also assist providers with care coordination for oncology patient populations to develop, participate and monitor multidisciplinary collaboration of services. This role is expanding and will include additional duties within care coordination. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
