Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking skilled equipment operators to join our team and perform various tasks in excavating and dozer work. The role involves preparing sites for construction, grading land to maintain level surfaces, performing roadway construction, installing storm water lines, implementing erosion control systems, and laying pipes underground. While experience with GPS systems, particularly the Trimble System GPS, is preferred, training will be provided for those without prior experience.

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and loaders for site preparation.
• Grade the land to maintain level surfaces for construction projects.
• Perform roadway construction and install storm water lines.
• Implement erosion control systems and lay pipes underground.

• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and front-end loaders.
• Experience in fine and rough grading for construction and earthworks.
• Knowledge of GPS systems, specifically Trimble System GPS, is preferred but not required.

• Familiarity with a variety of heavy equipment types, including bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, scrapers, dump trucks, motor graders, mini excavators, skid steers, and bobcats.

Expect to work 40-50 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, with some Saturday shifts. You will be part of a small crew of 5-8 members on-site, working on projects like the Richmond Airport development. The dress code includes work clothing and personal protective equipment, such as a hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and reflective gear.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockville, VA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
