We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Technician to support daily operations in a non-profit organization based in Newport News, Virginia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth administrative processes while providing excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in office software, and a customer-focused approach in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:• Provide administrative support by managing office tasks and maintaining organized records.
• Assist customers with inquiries and ensure their needs are addressed professionally and efficiently.
• Answer inbound calls and manage communications using a multi-line phone system.
• Process and handle documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Use Microsoft Word to create, edit, and format documents.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless office operations.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
• Monitor and replenish office supplies to support daily activities.• At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or customer service role.
• Proficiency in basic office skills, including organization and multitasking.
• Experience in assisting customers and providing excellent service.
• Ability to handle inbound calls and operate a multi-line phone system effectively.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and other office software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
