Requirements

The Payroll Specialist will process payroll, ensuring accurate and timely employee compensation. They will also maintain payroll records, reconcile payroll accounts and manage payroll tax accounts.

  • Prepare and process payroll and associated information for multi-company entity accurately and on time.
  • Verify all timesheets have been approved and export them to the accounting system.
  • Upload payroll data into Paylocity from Costpoint.
  • Create payroll vouchers and submit them to accounts payable for entry.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts associated with payroll.
  • Research and resolve errors or omissions.
  • Maintain all payroll tax accounts.
  • Maintain all garnishments and levies.
  • Process Leave and payroll accruals.
  • Enter Leave codes for employees as needed.
  • Maintain all payroll records
  • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and leave.
  • Support accounting and finance department with reports, statements, data analysis, and audits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong data entry skills and time management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in related field
  • Experience using Deltek Costpoint
  • Experience using Paylocity

This is an office position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a climate-controlled environment. Candidates must be able to sit, read, work on a computer, and watch a computer screen for extended periods of time. Occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, kneel or crouch.
