Your Day in This Role

As our Packaging Equipment Reliability Technician on 1st shift, you will keep high-speed manufacturing and packaging lines running at peak performance.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-4:30pm (OT as needed)
• Arrive to review the production plan and set up equipment to meet the day’s schedule.
• Partner with operators to understand any issues, isolate root causes, and determine repairs.
• Use technical manuals and your own documentation to configure lines, adjust conveyors, and fine-tune machinery.
• Execute mechanical repairs and perform major overhauls on select packaging assets.
• Troubleshoot electrical and motor systems to verify operation and proper configuration.
• Complete preventive maintenance and implement approved design modifications.
• Work to GMP and safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout; cover other shifts when needed.
• Operate effectively with minimal supervision while collaborating across a strong team.

Other duties may be assigned to support changing production needs.

What You Bring

• 4+ years of mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing setting; food industry experience strongly preferred.
• Associate degree in an electronics field and/or Electrical Diploma/Certificate with 3+ years of experience, OR 5+ years of proven related experience.
• Clear written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of preventive maintenance programs.
• Flexibility to support shift coverage (days, afternoons, nights) as business requires.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-moving environment.
• Deep knowledge of Health & Safety practices and Lockout procedures.
• Working knowledge of CMMS is an asset.
• Detail orientation with a customer service mindset; collaborative problem solver.
