Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Welder with expertise in Pulse Arc welding for a challenging and rewarding role. You will be responsible for welding on aircraft carriers and submarines for the Navy.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-pass, all position fillet and butt welds using GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P processes.
• Work in physically demanding environments, including shipboard, sub-assemblies, ladders, and staging.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations relevant to the shipbuilding industry.
• Utilize air carbon arc gouging techniques.
• Accurately use fillet and butt weld gauges.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of professional welding experience
• Proficiency in GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P welding techniques.
• Experience working in physically demanding environments.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations in shipbuilding.
• Ability to pass all-position, multi-pass butt weld, and welder qualification tests according to MIL-STD-248D.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Air Carbon Arc Gouging.
• Proficiency in various welding positions including horizontal (2G), vertical (3G), and overhead (4G).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, VA.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
