A day in this role

Imagine starting your shift at 7:00 a.m. in our Petersburg facility. You power up the roller header line, complete safety and quality checks, and dial in machine parameters so every bearing roller meets spec. Through the morning, you watch transfer conveyors, listen for unusual vibration, and make measured adjustments to keep parts within tolerance. You verify dimensions with gauges, document the production run in our systems, and coordinate with teammates for efficient changeovers. When a hiccup happens, you troubleshoot quickly—whether it’s a compliance issue with a part or a mechanical fault—so uptime stays on track.

What you’ll handle

• Operate, set up, and monitor cold‑heading equipment for bearing rollers
• Measure and verify critical dimensions per department quality plans
• Inspect work to catch defects early and protect downstream processes
• Assist with changeovers and attachments across work cells
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Move components by hand or with hoists/cranes as needed
• Oversee transfer conveyors and machine operation for steady flow
• Identify abnormal sounds or vibration and correct the root cause
• Tune machine parameters manually or via automated controls for conformance
• Accurately record production data in company systems
• Follow known sequences and final dimensions for finished work pieces

Department‑specific contributions

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment
• Troubleshoot part compliance or equipment issues to resolution
• Pitch in on additional tasks to support team goals

What you’ll bring

• Comfort working on your feet throughout the shift
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 10–50 lbs.
• Readiness to wear employer‑provided PPE as required
• Mechanical aptitude; prior industrial experience is a plus

Schedule, pay, and growth

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8‑hour shift (7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
