**Job Title: Outside Machinist** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled Outside Machinist to join our team. You will play a crucial role in repairing the Navy's, focusing on the tear down and replacement of pumps, motors, valves, and associated equipment. **Responsibilities** + Replace or repair valves, using hand and power tools. + Be experienced in using gas torches. Cleaning of boilers and boiler furnaces. Inspect assembled vessels and individual components, such as tubes, fittings, valves, controls, and auxiliary mechanisms, to locate any defects. + Install manholes, handholes, taps, tubes, valves, gauges, and feedwater connections in drums of water tube boilers, using hand tools. + Clean pressure vessel equipment, using scrapers, wire brushes, and cleaning solvents. + Install refractory brick in fireboxes. Employees must provide their own steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hard hats. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Norfolk, VA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
