Full Time Retail Sales Associate
Campus Emporium, an independent family-owned Virginia Tech fan store, is looking for an energetic and friendly person to join our team as Retail Sales Associate. This person will help us create an inviting and friendly shopping experience for our customers.
Duties primarily include:
- Providing excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner
- Processing sales and returns using POS system efficiently and accurately,
- Participating in the freight flow process including truck unloading, stocking, merchandise presentation and recovery
- Performing daily maintenance and light cleaning as assigned
- Must be available to work a retail schedule which includes evenings, weekends and holidays especially during the Virginia Tech football season
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Prior retail experience including operating a POS system
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 25 pounds
- Ability to unload freight, to move product on and off store shelves, to walk, stand, bend, stoop, or kneel for long periods of time, and to move freely throughout store on a continual basis
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 - 40 per week
