Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - School Security Clearance Patrol in Springfield, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas on foot to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your strong communication and customer service skills will support a positive campus experience. Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance and 2+ years of security experience
Pay Rate: $25.34 / Hour

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly while applying problem-solving skills.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for suspicious activity and report security-related concerns as directed by Allied Universal policies.
- Assist visitors, staff, and/or students with directions and information as needed while maintaining a security-related presence.
- Document security-related incidents and complete required reports in a timely manner.
- Support access control procedures and check identification as required by site protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A valid guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
