Job Title: Order Management/ Materials Coordinator
Location: 1700 Blue Hills Drive, Roanoke, VA, 24012
Contract: 6 months Contract
Shift: 1st shift (Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 3:30 pm)
Pay Rate: $ 24/Hr
Job Responsibilities:
- This person will coordinate the processes listed below with the Operations Manager, Supervisors, and any Line Servers.
- The purpose of this role is to:
- Reduce the age of open orders
- Reduce past dues
- Decrease the number of customer escalations
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the point of contact between Syracuse Planning and Customer Service (for Syracuse products):
- Manage escalations (coordinate to reduce interruptions – note that not all escalations can be honoured)
- Process cancellations
- Provide order status updates
- Oversee order management, including identifying efficiencies by batching similar products together
- Prioritize assembly benches
- Communicate any material issues back to the Syracuse Planning Team:
- Missing material
- Quality issues
- Incorrect inventory in Roanoke
- Potentially coordinate a cycle count and inventory adjustment
- BOM issues
- Identify items not backflushing correctly and engage planners for corrective action
- Collaborate with the sustaining engineering team
- Participate in Gemba with metrics related to the Syracuse product line (Open $ on the floor)
