Paralegal (General Liability)
Salary: $65,000 – $85,000
Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a Paralegal to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting attorneys through all phases of case management while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A strong work ethic and professional demeanor
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Exceptional typing, proofreading, and grammar skills
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- The ability to take ownership of assignments and see projects through to completion
- Strong technical aptitude and comfort learning new software and systems
Preferred Experience
- Paralegal Certificate and/or degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Experience working in a law firm or legal environment
- Familiarity with:
- Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Electronic court filings (e-filing)
- pdfDocs or similar PDF software
- Scanning and electronic file management
- Document management systems
- Experience working in a paperless office environment is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with the preparation, organization, and management of legal matters
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence
- Coordinate electronic filings and maintain filing deadlines
- Organize and maintain electronic case files and records
- Review, scan, and manage documents within the firm's document management system
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and third parties
- Support attorneys with case-related and administrative projects as needed
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 , depending on experience
