CDL B Driver
Overview
Join our team in Ashland, VA, as a CDL B Local Delivery Driver ! We’re seeking reliable, safety‑focused drivers who enjoy being on the road and providing excellent service to customers. This is a local, home‑daily position with steady hours and a supportive work environment—perfect for drivers looking for consistency and work–life balance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL B commercial vehicle for local deliveries.
- Deliver materials to customers throughout the Richmond/Ashland area.
- Load and unload the truck as needed.
- Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and basic paperwork.
- Communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure smooth deliveries.
- Represent the company with professionalism and strong customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record.
- Previous delivery driving experience (local delivery experience preferred).
- Knowledge of DOT safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform routine physical tasks required for deliveries.
Schedule & Pay
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Pay: $22 per hour
- All routes are local — home every day
