ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Roanoke, VA 24014 (Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Crystal Spring Tower – 8 ICU CSTower (Surgical/Medical/Cardiovascular ICU)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 5, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:45 – 07:15)
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800 - $1840
• Patient Population: Adult patients (18+)
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 2:1

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU RN experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system
• Level I trauma ICU experience preferred; Level II ICU experience considered for large healthcare facilities
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to work at least 1 holiday during assignment (2 holidays during winter season)

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult patients in a fast-paced ICU setting
• Perform advanced therapies and treatments: cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, CRRT, mechanical ventilation, pacemaker management, and intracranial pressure monitoring
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain NIH Stroke Scale certification and participate in stroke center protocols
• Deliver care for post-vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, and stroke patients
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the critical care process
