Analyze user needs and perform research and functional analysis on a variety of projects: Maintain the Army Export Control System (A/ECS) Database. Knowledge and experience with database entry and quality control required. Daily, the analyst will review the USExports database for new Army export cases and transfers the information to the A/ECS database, and at the same time assign the cases to a licensing officer for action. Requires the ability to work on one's own to ensure that the data is accurately transferred into A/ECS. The daily rhythm is entry of 25-40 cases per day, depending on the volume. In addition, the completed and signed hardcopy cases must be scanned to the electronic filing system daily. The analyst must assist new government and contractor employees who need to establish a log in and password, or have forgotten their password, to gain access to A/ECS. Work with the other analyst doing the same function to ensure that all cases received are covered and entered into A/ECS. Analyst will also maintain the Technology Transfer Decision Support System (T2DS2) Database. Receive emailed documents from policy analysts and enter them into the T2DS2 database to ensure that the data is accurately entered and that the database is up to date with the latest data provided. Assist the other Administrative Staff on occasion. May occasionally be asked to fill in for the Director's Admin Assistant, including tracking administrative actions, corresponding with the DASA-DE&C front office, preparing briefing slides, and updating the Task Management Tool (TMT).

Responsibilities:

Review, assign, enter, complete, and file records of actions in the A/ECS and T2DS2 databases on a daily basis. Assist new users with obtaining A/ECS and T2DS2 accounts. Work alone and as part of a two-person team in support of the overall Directorate. Occasionally fill in for Director's Administrative Assistant to track taskings and other administrative actions.

Current Security Clearance (Secret level) required.

4-year degree (BA or BS), and experience as a military or government/contractor employee required. 5 years or more experience in a similar international affairs position can be consider in lieu of 4-year degree.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (word, excel, power point, etc.)
