CNC Machinist – All Shifts

Location: Madison Heights, VA (On‑site)

Type: Full‑Time, All Shifts

Pay: $21.00 – 30.00/hr

QAD is searching for full time CNC Swiss Style Lathe, and CNC Mill Machinists (HAAS and FANUC) to join our growing team. At QAD, machinists are the go-to persons for setups, programming, and overall machine improvements. They ensure that the machines are running at their maximum capacity so that top quality parts are produced.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to CNC operators as needed
• Perform setups and changeovers
• Troubleshoot machine issues
• Perform scheduled maintenance plans for all machines
• Keep work areas safe, productive, and clean
• Assist in maintaining team efficiency
• Work flexible schedules, including potential shift work (day or night), weekdays, weekends, and occasional holidays

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience of CNC machine set ups and/or programming required
• Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret mechanical blueprints
• Proficient in using digital calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and other measurement tool.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs. independently required
• Excellent problem solving ability
• Dedicated work ethic with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Experience with FANUC controls is a plus
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code programming required
