Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join a growing legal team in a remote capacity . This role is well suited for attorneys with 0-3 years of experience in bankruptcy, collections, or civil litigation who are licensed to practice in Virginia .

The position offers hands-on exposure to court proceedings, case management, and client advisory work while providing the flexibility of remote work within designated Virginia jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in bankruptcy, collections, and civil litigation matters.

• Attend court proceedings and ensure compliance with applicable laws and procedures.

• Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support effective legal strategies.

• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents.

• Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines efficiently.

• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver high-quality client service.

Required Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in bankruptcy, collections, or civil litigation.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• Active Virginia bar license in good standing.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite .

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Admission in additional states within the firm’s footprint ( GA, SC, TN, FL, MD, MI, OH ) or UBE passage .

• Prior experience attending court proceedings independently.

• Proven ability to work remotely while maintaining productivity, responsiveness, and collaboration.
