About the Role:

As a Mig Welder I in the durable goods manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in fabricating and assembling metal components that meet precise specifications and quality standards. Your primary focus will be on performing MIG welding operations to join metal parts, ensuring strong, clean, and defect-free welds that contribute to the durability and functionality of the final products. You will work closely with production teams to interpret blueprints, follow welding procedures, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to troubleshoot welding issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. Ultimately, your work will directly impact the quality and reliability of the manufactured goods, supporting the company’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic experience with MIG welding techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Commitment to following safety standards and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in MIG welding from a recognized institution or welding program.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with welding inspection tools and quality control processes.
  • Basic knowledge of metal fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding on various metal components according to engineering drawings and welding procedures.
  • Inspect welds for quality and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as necessary to ensure compliance.
  • Set up and maintain welding equipment, including cleaning and replacing consumables to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to identify and resolve welding defects or process inefficiencies.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area to promote a safe manufacturing environment.
