AECOM is seeking an Architectural Design Intern to be based in Virginia Beach, VA.

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2026.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
• Follows instructions to accomplish task assigned by senior staff.
• Meets required schedules while producing quality work.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architectureor related field and must have completed at least 2 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for this position. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
• Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Previous internship experience is a plus.
• Experience with Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or other related software is a plus.

Additional Information

• Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
• This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Virginia Beach, VA. The selected candidate must be available to work in Virginia Beach, VA on a scheduled basis.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $20 to $27.
