Precision Mechanical Assembler
Location: Ashland, VA
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 6:00 AM–2:30 PM)
Pay: $19.50–$20.00 per hour
You arrive, gear up, and step into a fast-moving warehouse where accuracy matters. Your shift starts by reviewing build instructions and verifying parts on your bench. Using a mix of hand and power tools, you assemble products piece by piece, checking each step against specs. Throughout the day, you coordinate with picking to confirm components and with shipping to keep orders flowing. Between builds, you keep your station tidy, conduct quick quality verifications, and always work with safety top of mind. When the last item passes its check, you know it meets the company’s standards—ready to ship right the first time.
What You’ll Handle- Assemble products precisely following work instructions and specifications
- Operate hand and power tools to complete efficient, reliable builds
- Confirm correct parts and materials before and after assembly
- Perform in-process and final quality checks to meet company criteria
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Partner with picking and shipping teams to maintain steady workflow
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines
- Prior experience in assembly, production, or warehouse settings (preferred)
- Comfort using basic hand tools and powered equipment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- Reliable attendance and ease in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, team-first attitude
- Stand for the full shift
- Frequent lifting, bending, and general movement
- Lift up to 50 lbs independently; team-lift for heavier items
