A thoughtful retail section will include elevated snacks, wellness essentials, and everyday conveniences, perfect for workdays, travel times, and everything in between.
Altitude
Altitude is a refined cocktail and wine bar influenced by the glamour of midcentury air travel. The prominent bar of the space is designed to resemble an airplane wing structure, and custom nooks create an atmosphere of sophisticated comfort. Altitude’s on-premises sommelier draws inspiration from Pan Am’s golden-era routes, offering aged vintages with an American-meets-European sensibility.
Summary of Position:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing daily café operations, ensuring excellence in guest experience, staff performance, and operational execution. The AGM plays a key role in maintaining service standards, supporting training and development, and stepping into leadership responsibilities when the GM is not present.
We’re seeking a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to inspire and support the team while driving results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
Ensure that all guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
Ensure that all food and beverages are consistently prepared and served according to café recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, and cleanliness through training and by creating a positive, productive work environment.
Control cash and other receipts by adhering to proper cash-handling and reconciliation procedures.
Make employment and termination recommendations consistent with General Manager guidelines.
Step in where needed to support service and operational flow.
Continually develop café staff through coaching and professional growth opportunities.
Complete all required paperwork, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
Ensure all equipment is clean, well maintained, and functioning properly through regular inspections and preventative maintenance programs.
Verify that all products are received in correct quantities and condition, following proper receiving and storage procedures.
Oversee and ensure that staff performance evaluations are completed on time and in line with company policy.
Schedule labor according to business needs while meeting labor cost targets.
Be knowledgeable of and enforce company policies, administering fair and consistent corrective action when necessary.
Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations.
Provide feedback and suggestions to the General Manager as needed.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Minimum of three years of front-of-house or assistant management experience, ideally in a café or casual dining environment.
Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, guest service, and team leadership.
Excellent communication, organizational, and basic math skills.
Proficiency with POS systems and general technology used in café operations.
