Assembler II

SQM is seeking an experienced Assembler II.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assembly of enclosures according to precise product specifications.
• Ability to work from detailed instructions and conform to strict quality assurance guidelines.
• Assembly of electrical devices.
• Use of hand and power tools.
• Testing electrical devices.
• Operating Selective Soldering Machine.
• Operating Wave Soldering Machine.

Plus:

• Manual Soldering (Rework).
• Operating SMD/THT Machines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Technical Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to distinguish colors, fine circuit detail, and tones.
• Working knowledge of IPC workmanship and soldering standards.
• Working knowledge of ESD procedures.
• Motivated individuals with good attendance, attitude and work ethic.
• High school diploma or equivalent; A ssociate's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 1-3 years technician experience in an electronics manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be flexible to work 1st or 2nd shift.

Work Location: This position will be based at our North American corporate headquarters located in Chesapeake, Virginia.
