Traveling Mechanical Commissioning Agent

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage commissioning projects for data center mechanical systems, including generators, CRAC units, rooftop AHUs, humidifiers, sprinkler systems, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, exhaust fans, and digital electrical distribution equipment.
- Review client design packages and project documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Level 3 equipment tests, including First of Kind equipment.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test procedures, logs, checklists, and reports.
- Participate in daily commissioning meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and administer functional tests for various systems, such as electrical distribution, UPS, and standby generators.
- Assist with field troubleshooting and provide recommendations for optimizing building operations.
- Ensure adherence to quality management and quality control processes throughout all project phases.
- Travel to project sites as required (up to approximately 75%, with variation depending on project needs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in the engineering field, with a focus on complex facilities or mission-critical projects.
- Previous experience in data center or mission-critical environments is required.
- Experience with electrical equipment testing in critical facilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IEEE/ASHRAE procedures and protocols is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of systems design for large-scale projects.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively as needed for project assignments.
