The Big Picture

Fairview Church ( ) is a Christ-centered and non-denominational church with two Sunday worship services (contemporary and traditional) of about 220 members seeking a full time Senior Pastor.

The Church

Fairview Church located in Danville, Virginia, has a mission to connect people to God and to one another, where all persons can find healing in Jesus and friendship within the congregation. Fairview works to “…make disciples of all nations…in the name of the Father … Son and … Holy Spirit…” (Matthew 28:19) We currently have an opening for a Full-time Pastor to serve our congregation of 220+ members with 150 regularly attending and growing newcomers. Our ministry includes contemporary and traditional worship services and Sunday school for all ages on Sunday mornings. Nurseries are provided for our youngest in the church family and are available during Sunday services. Children and Youth ministry programs are active and continuously showing growth. Our ministry staff includes a Director of Children and Family Ministries, Director of Student Ministries, and an Office Administrator, along with many church members and volunteers who work together to provide meaningful opportunities to serve and grow in our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Fairview Church is debt-free and has well-maintained facilities that include a 300-seat sanctuary with a Sunday school addition and a social hall built onto the church building. An on-site childcare program is offered through Becky’s Kiddie Kollege.

The Community

Fairview Church is located within Danville city limits. Pittsylvania county surrounds Danville on three sides with North Carolina bordering on the south side. This is the largest county in Virginia and contains rolling farmland next to Smith Mountain Lake. Danville is located about 40 miles NE of Greensboro, NC, and 60 miles SW of Lynchburg, VA. The Candidate
Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Ministry or related field
At least two years of experience as a Senior Pastor or in a comparable leadership role.
Applicant must be a citizen of the United States of America

Qualifications:
Strong preaching, teaching and pastoral care skills.
Proven leadership abilities with a collaborative, servant-hearted approach.
Full agreement with Fairview’s statement of faith and core doctrine
