Job Description

As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol Full-Time in Virginia Beach, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As part of the Allied Universal team, you will serve as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, monitoring for security-related incidents, and helping to deter unwanted activity by maintaining a visible presence. You will also provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a logistics and distribution environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a visible presence around the location.
• Report and document any suspicious activities, hazards, or incidents in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
• Communicate and collaborate with on-site staff and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and/or concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
