Job Opportunity – NICU Advanced Practice Provider – Virginia
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Part-time, 3-5 shifts per month, 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation (primarily night shift needed)
Highlights:
- Level 4 NICU with 64-bed capacity and EPIC EMR system
- Mixed acuity patient load: 8 patients on day shift, 20-30 on night shift
- 13-week contract with option to extend
- Comprehensive neonatal procedures including ECMO support, intubation, line placement, lumbar puncture, ventilator management, PICC, UAC, and UVC
- Autonomous practice environment with neonatal fellows managing ECMO cases
- Neonatal and infant patient population in acute care hospital setting
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Neonatology required
- Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience
- Neonatal training and high-risk deliveries experience essential
- Valid BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications through AHA
- Active DEA and CSR required
- Virginia state license required by start date (allow 8 weeks for processing)
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
