We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a healthcare organization. This role is ideal for a senior accountant who can manage reconciliations, support close activities, and strengthen the accuracy of financial reporting; create SOP's. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with the accounting team to maintain compliance, improve processes, and provide well-organized documentation for key reporting and audit needs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform timely reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and bank statements, ensuring discrepancies are identified and addressed accurately.

• Investigate account differences, analyze outstanding items, and resolve exceptions to maintain reliable financial records.

• Create and record journal entries that support monthly accounting activities and the period-end close process.

• Reconcile intercompany balances and assigned general ledger accounts to confirm completeness and accuracy.

• Assist with payroll-related account reviews, including liability and tax-related reconciliations when needed.

• Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close efforts by preparing schedules and completing assigned accounting tasks.

• Examine financial information for accuracy and recommend workflow enhancements that improve efficiency and control.

• Prepare audit-ready workpapers and supporting documentation for internal reviews and external audit requests.

• Partner with colleagues across the accounting function to uphold company policies and accepted accounting standards.

• Maintain clear, organized reconciliation files and documentation to support reporting integrity and future reference.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including work at or near the Senior Accountant level.

• Demonstrated expertise in account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.

• Hands-on experience preparing and posting journal entries in a detail-focused accounting environment.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and data analysis techniques.

• Ability to manage priorities independently and deliver accurate work within tight deadlines.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
