Deputy Director of Finance

The County of Henry is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as Deputy Director of Finance. As the Deputy Director of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in the financial operations and strategic financial planning of Henry County and Henry County Public Service Authority (HCPSA). Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee the daily operations and staff of the HCPSA Business & Customer Service Office. The ideal candidate should exhibit integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct, along with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; proven experience in a senior financial management role, with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in finance or accounting; licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Commonwealth of Virginia preferred or relevant experience in government finance. Competitive salary range of $94,638 - $120,664 commensurate with experience, plus robust benefits package including employer paid health insurance and retirement benefits through the Virginia Retirement System (VRS).
