This role focuses on providing expert oncology care within an outpatient clinic setting, supporting patients with various cancers and hematologic conditions. The position involves working closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, ensuring optimal patient care and treatment management.

Key Responsibilities of the Oncology Nurse Clinician

• Provide therapeutic care and manage symptoms related to cancer and treatment
• Evaluate patients at each clinic visit and educate them about their disease
• Assist with procedures in the clinic
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely diagnostic evaluation and treatment
• Alternate between phone symptom management and clinic patient support

Requirements of the Oncology Nurse Clinician

• BSN and AHA BLS certification required
• Oncology experience required - 2 years
• Chemo certification preferred
• Good organizational and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Epic/Beacon electronic medical records
