Overview
Speech Language Pathologist – Windsor, Virginia. Start date: 06/22/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,000–$2,135 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: five 8-hour days, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Setting: skilled nursing and long-term care environment. This is a travel, temporary assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing assessments for residents in the long-term care setting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practice and regulatory requirements.
- Provide ongoing evaluation of progress and adjust treatment plans as needed; maintain timely, accurate documentation of services and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (nursing, rehabilitation therapy, social work, and case management) to support resident goals and care coordination.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies, strategies for swallowing safety, and the criteria for discharge or transfer when appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, payer guidelines, and facility policies; maintain high standards of documentation, patient safety, and infection control.

Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Licensure/Certification: Virginia licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist; ASHA CCC-SLP preferred when available
- Experience: Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric populations preferred; travel assignment experience a plus
- Skills: Strong assessment and treatment planning abilities; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team
- Setting: Ability to work effectively in a long-term care environment and manage a caseload within regulatory requirements
