East Market Dental is seeking a skilled and caring Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team on Thursdays and Fridays. In this role, you will provide essential dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral health, and collaborate closely with the dental team to develop individualized care plans. Dental hygienist

Deliver direct dental hygiene care including debridement, hand scaling, polishing, sealants, fluoride applications, and routine cleanings.

Implement individualized dental care plans based on the dentist’s diagnosis and patient needs.

Conduct patient screenings including medical history reviews, dental charting, and taking vital signs.

Document dental history, chief complaints, observations, and patient reactions accurately in patient records.

Perform diagnostic quality radiographs (X-rays) and chart conditions of dental decay and disease for dentist evaluation.

Maintain and sterilize dental equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations.

Assist with emergency procedures during patient treatment as directed by the dentist.

Prepare and set up dental instruments and treatment areas following established guidelines.

Provide patient education, discharge planning, and family teaching under dentist supervision to promote oral health.

Participate in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes as required.

Assist with patient reception, telephone triage, and other office duties as needed.

Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA privacy standards and ethical conduct at all times.

Attend required compliance and team trainings to keep skills and knowledge current.

part-time $55 - $60 per hour

Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Licensed dental hygienist

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.

Valid Virginia Dental Hygiene license required.

Current CPR certification.

Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations and guidelines.

Understanding of dental surgery procedures, terminology, and outpatient dental services regulations.

Ability to learn and utilize dental software efficiently.

Strong ethical standards and professional conduct.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
