Wire Fulfillment Ops Specialist - Essential Onsite
As an Associate within Enterprise Payment Operations you will execute activities in a fast-paced, multi-function, multi-team operation tasked with delivering an exceptional end-to-end payments experience for our customers. Wire Fulfillment is responsible for performing start of day and end of day tasks, management of all inbound and outbound domestic and international wire exceptions as well as management of several other payment related tasks.
Summary of Responsibilities & Expectations
Performs the opening and closing of Federal Reserve and Swift gateways in alignment with all domestic and international wire processing
Reviews and processes both incoming and outgoing wire requests
Researches and resolves a wide variety of issues and queries using independent judgment with little or no assistance
Manages several types of wire exceptions, inclusive of NSF, potential duplicates, repairs, etc.
Performs correspondent bank (Nostro) funding and position management
Expected to fully cross train on all wire functions and responsibilities
Able to identify issues and risks associated with transactions and escalate appropriately
Able to make effective independent decisions, when necessary
Works with management to identify process improvement opportunities
Able to communicate effectively and clearly within and across the value stream
Contacts internal customers for wire authorizations and approvals
Investigates and resolves customer issues with little or no assistance
Able to manage independent workflow assignments autonomously
Influences positive behaviors and integrative thinking
Location: This role is an essential position and requires onsite attendance
Schedules
Hours of Operations are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. EST
Associates must be available to work rotationally all shifts between Monday through Friday, 6:00am - 7:30pm EST
Associates are required to be on location Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Associates work at home Mondays and Fridays.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 3 years of customer service or call center or banking operations experience
At least 3 years of experience working in banking or the financial industry
At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office or Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years of payment operations experience
At least 1 year of wire transfer experience
At least 4 years of experience working in banking or financial industry
At least 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office or Google Suite

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Richmond, VA: $64,700 - $73,900 for Ops Specialist
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
