Job Description
This position is responsible for helping load and secure vehicles within train car carriers to be transported.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the placement and removal of chockers on each car wheel.
- Precisely position automobiles within the carriers.
- Chock and strap the vehicles in the carrier.
- Remove chocks and straps at the arrival terminal.
- Wear and use required protective equipment while working.
- Take responsibility for own safety while on the job.

- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Work Environment
Willingness to work in all weather conditions and at various hours to accommodate train schedules. Must be willing to work odd hours, split shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. Ability to work alone and unsupervised. Shift hours are from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, 5-6 days a week, with every weekend work and 1-2 days off during the week.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodbridge, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
