ACCOUNTANT SENIOR

GDIT is seeking an Accountant Senior to support GDIT and GDMS Banking & Treasury related functions. Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and support impactful mission outcomes as an Accountant Senior at GDIT. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As an Accountant Senior supporting the Banking & Treasury Team, you will be trusted to meet the financial deadlines while following processing rules. In this role, a typical day will include:

Responsibilities:

• Communicating effectively and timely with various stakeholders.
• This role is critical to the success of the GSS program and meeting customer requirements.
• Demonstrate ability to follow detailed payment instructions and understand workflow of funds.
• Access to various banking platforms across multiple countries.
• Ability to maintain multiple banking platform credentials.
• Assist with researching bank inquiries for returned, rejected and other payment issues.
• Assist with obtaining information for bank account audits.
• Assist with bank account portal access for users in various countries.
• Review and release payments; ensure transactions have appropriate documentation and authorization.
• Attention to details and payment deadlines.
• Work with banking team members on outstanding payment documents.
• Upload journal entries using Oracle templates reducing manual entry errors.
• Ensure journal entries meet internal controls and audit requirements.
• Maintain organized records of journal entry support for audits and reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities through preparation of standard entries.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.
• Quick learner, detailed-oriented, team player and self-motivated.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your accounting expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Accountant Senior must have:

• BS/BA Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of accounting experience.
• Current passport to be able to get access to the banking platforms.
• Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
• US Person
• Knowledge of TEAMS and Oracle Financial preferred.
• Banking Portal and Treasury experience (a plus).
