A day in the life

You arrive for your shift in Richmond and start by readying the production line: selecting the correct tools, setting up machines to specification, and verifying that safeguards are in place. As the line ramps up, you watch the indicators, listen for changes in tone, and check sample parts to make sure quality stays tight. When a reading drifts, you pause the run, inspect, and troubleshoot—swapping a worn component, clearing a jam, or adjusting a setting—before documenting what you found and getting the line back to speed.

Throughout the day you keep your area orderly and safe, coordinate with teammates to hit the schedule, and record production data so leadership has a real-time picture. When a discrepancy pops up, you flag it immediately and help investigate the cause. At close, you complete preventive checks so the next start-up is smooth.

What you’ll do

• Set up, operate, and maintain a range of production machinery to meet schedule and quality standards.
• Continuously monitor machine performance and product output; make adjustments to sustain optimal results.
• Conduct routine inspections and hands-on troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Follow safety procedures rigorously and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate closely with the team to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Accurately document production data and promptly report any discrepancies to management.

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machine operation is a plus.
• Prior experience as a machine operator or in a comparable production role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability.
• Comfort reading and interpreting technical documents and manuals.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
