Our work depends on a Cloud Systems Engineer Senior Advisor joining our team to support internal GDIT operational activities while working in a remote based environment. As a Cloud Systems Engineer Sr. Advisor supporting internal GDIT operations, you will be trusted to work in our enterprise cloud environment and develop better processes through automation. In this role, a typical day will include: Ability to work on a highly technical and integrated team in support of government cloud infrastructure, architecture, and general day to day cloud operations.
Primary support will be Azure Gov Cloud with secondary support for Oracle Gov Cloud Collaborate closely with Enterprise Application, Cyber and Server teams to develop and maintain a secure cloud infrastructure environment.
Proficient in the automation and managing of cloud infrastructure and server deployment using code.
Proficient with PowerShell, Python, Visual Studio Code, Git and common developer/cloud related tools and languages.
Design, develop, deploy Cloud infrastructure using code, and test complex software as they relate to cloud automation, compliance and monitoring.
Provide cloud infrastructure tier III support within GDIT, and work with external vendors to quickly resolve issues.
Manage and audit cloud tagging, logging, compliance and security requirements through automation.
Proficient with Azure Infrastructure, Azure IaaS, PaaS, Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes and Azure AI/ML services, and related API functions. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Education: Bachelor's degree or an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience 5+ years of experience designing and supporting enterprise level automation with code.
5+ years of experience working on cloud infrastructure managing cloud operations in Azure. Oracle gov cloud experience preferred. Experience working serverless, docker and Kubernetes.
Good coding, communication, and documentation skills. Experience presenting to stakeholders and senior management
Ability to work some nights and weekends. Required Technical Skills: Should have at least an architecture level cloud certification.
Experience with developer tool sets such as PowerShell, Visual Studio, Git, JSON, YAML, Bicep, Python, Terraform.
Be proficient in using cloud CLI and API calls to manage resources.
Windows and Linux OS experience. Other details:
