This position joins a team providing housekeeping and custodial services for a campus-style school consisting of 7 buildings and 37 acres. The successful candidate will be a motivated and reliable employee with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and is expected to make teamwork a top priority.

This is a full-time, benefited position reporting to the Director of Plant Operations. Expected hours are 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. Some nights and weekends are required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise day cleaning staff.
• Coordinate with the night cleaning crew supervisor to ensure that the work is being performed in accordance with standards.
• Maintain the necessary inventory of janitorial supplies and order supplies.
• Perform routine and daily cleaning of all common areas including classrooms, offices, bathrooms, lunchrooms and locker rooms.
• Stock and maintain all janitorial supplies.
• Coordinate and perform the set up and break down for organized events.
• Vacuum and mop floors.
• Clean all windows and doors as needed.
• Other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• 1-3 years of relevant housekeeping and supervisory experience.
• Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Pleasant demeanor with the ability to smile and handle situations with tolerance, diplomacy, and tact.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
