We look forward to meeting you. **Preferred Qualifications** Navy nuclear background- Prior service as a Nuclear Officer, Engineering Watch Supervisor, Reactor Controls Division Officer, or equivalent civilian nuclear management experience. Prior experience in nuclear shipbuilding, refueling, defueling, or overhaul operations. Demonstrated leadership in managing nuclear work execution, coordinating across engineering, planning, quality control, and radiological controls functions. Comprehensive knowledge of NAVSEA and NNPP requirements, technical work documentation processes, and nuclear cleanliness standards. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with U.S. Navy representatives and corporate leadership. **The Role** Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. **Must Have** Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: + NNS Apprentice School graduate + Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate + Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience + Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience + High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience + High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience **Why HII** We build the world's most powerful, survivable naval ships and defense technology solutions that safeguard our seas, sky, land, space and cyber.
