• Location: Richlands, Virginia 24641 (Southwest Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Level 3 OB, Nursery Unit
• Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: November 25, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1730
• Unit Details: 14-bed Nursery, 3 Intermediate Nursery beds, 9 OB beds, 3 Labor & Delivery beds
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech

Qualifications – Nursery Registered Nurse

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state (Virginia nursing license preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Nursery, OB, or Labor & Delivery nursing
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher (BSN preferred)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate fetal monitoring (or higher), STABLE for nursery
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Experience working in low-volume OB units (fewer than 15 deliveries per month)

Key Responsibilities – Nursery RN

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to newborns in nursery and intermediate nursery settings
• Assist with labor and delivery support as needed, adhering to A1 patient ratio guidelines
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using Meditech EHR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate and support new parents and families throughout their hospital stay
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and best nursing practices
