As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Coordinator in Roanoke, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach while helping create a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, common areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted behavior and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access control, loss prevention awareness, and crowd management during busy business periods.
• Support closing and opening routines, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas, and/or reporting maintenance, lighting, or other property-related issues observed during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
