Key Job Details – PACU RN Travel Assignment

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54701
• Healthcare Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center PACU
• Shift: 5x8-hour day shifts (08:30 – 17:00), 40 hours/week
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing (Locum Tenens)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2250 - $2310

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU RN experience in a clinical setting
• Previous travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Active Wisconsin RN license required at time of application
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA only)
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Preferred: Experience in community hospital or Trauma Level I/II environments
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Perform bedside shift reporting (BSSR), utilize AIDET communication, and conduct hourly rounding
• Support procedures in Endoscopy, Pain Management, Orthopedics, Dental, and Ophthalmology
• Conduct airway assessments, circulation checks, and conscious sedation monitoring
• Administer discharge instructions and medication reconciliation
• Perform pre-op assessments, patient education, and pre/post-operative care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and float within the hospital as needed
