We're seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team, where you'll have the opportunity to utilize your independent judgment in assessing, diagnosing, and initiating medical processes. From managing complex hemodynamics in post-operative cases to ensuring smooth transitions home, you'll be an integral part of our world-class cardiovascular care team.

What You'll Be Doing:

Provide Expert Care: Develop differential diagnoses and personalized care plans, interpreting and synthesizing complex patient data.
Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Review patient plans with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure Patient Well-being: Evaluate and document patient responses to care, focusing on health status, functional status, and overall well-being.
Manage Critically Ill Patients: Assume clinical management of critically ill cardiovascular patients in collaboration with physicians.
Contribute to Innovation: Participate in clinical research, data collection, and the development of patient care standards.
Educate and Mentor: Provide clinical and professional education to improve staff knowledge.

What We're Looking For:

A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
Preferably 1+ year of experience in cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, general surgery, cardiology, or critical care.
ACLS and BLS Certification.
Valid DEA license (or ability to obtain).
Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or eligibility).
For Nurse Practitioners: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice.
Schedule:

3-4 shifts/week, including 3-4 nights per month and 1-2 weekends per month.
