Senior Product Manager - Mobile
At Koalafi, we believe in a world where no one has to put an important purchase on hold. That’s why we’re making it easier for more people to pay for big purchases over time.
Retailers across the country rely on us to offer flexible lease-to-own financing to their non-prime consumers, while increasing sales and strengthening customer loyalty. Their 2M+ customers love us because we provide a flexible way for them to make payments and give them an opportunity to improve their credit. Our 200+ Koalafi teammates enjoy inspiring and challenging work that accelerates their careers.
Interested in learning more about how we’re transforming the financing experience and joining our team?
What You’ll Do
Koalafi is on a mission to make financing transparent, inclusive, and rewarding. Our customers use Koalafi to shop, lease, and pay for the things that matter most, and we’re building the experiences that make that possible.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the next phase of our Koalafi mobile app. This is a rare opportunity to take a newly launched product and define what it becomes—turning an MVP where customers manage their account into a central, high-impact experience where customers track their progress, discover merchants, and unlock new ways to shop with Koalafi.
You’ll set the vision and roadmap for the app in collaboration with Product leadership, determine and track foundational metrics and feedback loops, and partner with cross-functional teams to expand the app’s capabilities. You’ll also collaborate closely with the product manager who leads customer servicing across web and internal tools, ensuring a cohesive experience for every Koalafi customer.
- Manage product delivery for the Koalafi mobile app on iOS and Android from ideation to launch
- Build from MVP to growth, defining the metrics, experiments, and roadmap that expand the app from a servicing tool into a core customer channel
- Lead the creation of new shopping experiences, working closely with design and engineering to move from concept to launch
- Define and track metrics that drive insights into the success of our products
- Drive adoption and engagement, using early data, user feedback, and testing to refine and scale the mobile experience
- Collaborate with the customer servicing PM to reduce friction and deliver seamless self-service across mobile and web
- Leverage strong judgment and decision-making skills to prioritize features and initiatives, balancing business goals with user needs
- Champion the customer, bringing curiosity and empathy to every decision to ensure the app meets real customer needs
Who This Role Is For
You thrive in 0→1 environments where you can turn an early product into something customers love. You’re motivated by the challenge of building foundational experiences and scaling them to deliver real business impact. You enjoy shaping products that combine usability, growth, and innovation, and you’re comfortable with ambiguity and iteration.
You’re excited by the opportunity to make the Koalafi mobile app the centerpiece of our customer experience. You balance curiosity and execution, moving quickly while keeping long-term strategy in focus.
About You
- 5+ years of product management experience with a track record of owning and scaling mobile products from early stages
- Proven ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, influencing without direct authority
- Strong communicator who brings clarity and alignment across diverse stakeholders
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; able to build frameworks and processes from the ground up
- Passion for customer-first, iterative product development and continuous improvement
- Experience with mobile app GTM and user acquisition strategies
- Experience driving growth, engagement, or commerce experiences within mobile apps
- Experience working in agile environments with the ability to balance speed to market and scalability, observability, and reusability
- Experience running a/b tests and other experiments to test product hypotheses
- Experience in fintech, lending, or integrating partner experiences is a plus, but not required
- Location Requirement: This position requires regular in-person attendance at one of our two office locations (Richmond, VA or Arlington, VA). Candidates must already be located within a commutable distance to either location, as relocation assistance is not available at this time.
Why choose Koalafi: A career at Koalafi means opportunities to tackle exciting challenges every single day. We take pride in a culture of innovation, trust, and ownership. You'll get outside your comfort zone, build meaningful relationships, and most of all, take charge of projects that ultimately help people get the things they need most.
